The judges said that "This initiative is working so well that transformational thinking is now embedded in daily habits that add value for themselves, the organisation, their customers, communities and across the globe, which is exactly why this category exists to celebrate sustainable transformation. We were particularly impressed by the partnership and their joint tenacity to drive science-based and sustainable education (rather than just training that has an endpoint). This programme is driving transformation that is inclusive, diverse, and brings a sense of belonging to generate value way beyond the learning itself".
Our partnership with NatWest is a three-year, £1.5m partnership to develop and deliver a climate education programme focused on three key ambitions: Driving Awareness: Providing easily accessible climate awareness learning, enabling people to take ownership and act. Building Agency: Equip colleagues in priority roles with the capability to do their job, manage climate-related risks and support customers to transition. Inspiring Action: Inspire climate action and innovation through learning, thought leadership and global outreach.
We are very encouraged that participants in our Climate Change Transformation Programme have reported increased awareness and confidence when it comes to climate change issues. For example, in a survey of our recent cohort of participants, 98% of respondents reported that they feel they have learned how their role and profession can aid in combatting climate change. In addition, 93% of respondents stated that they will alter their actions on climate change professionally, and 95% of respondents stated that they will alter their actions on climate change personally.
Our partnership with NatWest will continue into 2024, and we are looking forward to building on our progress to date and continuing to support NatWest’s transition to net zero.
