In this paper, Atreya considers how the long-term credit risk of sovereigns rises where there is an increase in media attention to climate summits. He also documents that the credit market incorporates the changing vulnerability of areas, based on trends in historical population growth, into its risk assessment contemporaneously with media attention.
Atreya is PhD candidate in Financial Technology at the University of Edinburgh Business School with his research focusing on how environmental risks affect supply chain networks, and how firms can best adapt their supply chains to protect against these risks.
